Many of you will not like what I have to say, but it's happening now.
The AI tools that so many of you are utilizing for your job search are hurting you.
Because EVERYONE is using them. Where is the advantage?
And the AI platforms companies are utilizing are removing so much humanity from the process that we are very close to reaching the point of a full AI vs. AI standoff.
BOT VS. BOT!
The tech is making it TOO easy for candidates to customize their resumes to match JDs (even when they may not have the qualifications) and mass apply.
*I get it. As an unemployed job seeker, you need every tool and advantage. But everyone else is using the same. So, is it really an advantage anymore?
We can debate about this all day, but I see this first hand and have my finger on the pulse of HR Tech (I just returned from HR Tech Vegas).
We are AT the point of AI talking to AI.
Chatbots vs. interview tech vs. optimized resumes vs. AI skill scoring yada yada....
The BEST tools on the employer side are the ones that enable recruiters and hiring managers to be more human where human is needed and find efficiencies.
I have hope, as I've seen and used some of them, and they're incredible! But first, we need to hit this pinnacle of tech vs. tech.
One dude that knows what's up is Zach Roseman, CEO & Founder @ Draftboard (yeah, check it out and help jobseekers find jobs)
