Steve Brown, the keynote speaker, shares his insights on public speaking, his origin story in the HR field, and the importance of understanding the business as an HR professional. He emphasizes the need for HR professionals to be champions for both candidates and hiring managers and to focus on adding value to the company. Brown also discusses the importance of culture and trust in the workplace, as well as the challenges of managing a mix of frontline workers and corporate employees. He shares his experiences during the pandemic and the need for organizations to be nimble and open-minded. Brown's mantra is to always prioritize others and he encourages HR professionals to do the same.
