ME: You forgot to mention she was the CMO at Endavor, Chief Brand Officer at Uber and Head of Marketing at Apple and Pepsi.
I am talking about the one and only Bozoma Saint John.
She is on my Top 10 Guests Wishlist.
So, how did I get her on my show?
Simple....I asked.
Well, there is a bit more to it. Boz's best friend is a former boss of mine, Justina Omokua, whom I profoundly adore and learned so much from.
Justina taught me how to give and receive tough love and have a strong POV in all that you do, even if you are wrong about it.
But it wasn't until I read Boz's incredible book "The Urgent Life" and learned how special of a BFF Justina was to her, especially during the worst moments of her life, that it all clicked.
(It also happened to be during the time that I worked for her and had NO clue this was happening).
This is a full-circle moment for me and encapsulates why I continue to host #thePOZcast: to shine a light on others.
I have goosebumps typing this post. That's how special this episode is to me.
I am honored, humbled, and lucky AF to share E289 with you.
