How do you define who a "mentor" is?
I define it as anyone I can absorb knowledge, experience, wisdom, and life lessons from, either passively or actively, near or far, directly or indirectly.
For Illana Raia, her Grandmother was her mentor, before she even knew what one is, and for a genuinely great reason:
Her Grandmother was one of the first females to graduate from Brooklyn Law in 1936 when women weren't attorneys. She was an inspiration.
Ilana is a champion for Women. She is the founder and CEO of Être - a mentorship platform for girls. Believing that mentors matter as early as middle school, She brings girls directly into companies they choose to meet female leaders face to face and inspire them from an early age.
I am honored to share her journey on E271 of #thePOZcast!
