"I like to know how people think. I want to know their thought process."
Athletic Green's President Kat Cole has been around the "executive" block, and it still baffles her when senior candidates have NO questions to ask at the end of an interview.
Were they all answered?
Doubtful.
Could the person be nervous?
Sure, but this is a senior role, and they *should* be okay in front of management.
Or maybe they aren't that curious?
It is a highly desirable trait that almost all successful people have.
So, is that a red flag during an interview? A deal-breaker?
For me, at the recruiter-intro screen level, it certainly is as there is NO way that you have NO questions for me.
Not even one "go-to"?
It signals that maybe you aren't interested, don't care enough, or are just not curious.
My advice for interviews is ALWAYS to do your research and have at least five go-to questions, regardless of the opportunity, around the role, company, culture, day-to-day process, etc.
